Finally, the group I get the contest prizes are up and running again finally. So we can get started that contest I had mentioned before.So here is the contest
To Be Blind
This one will be a challenge for you guys. I want you to write a story from the perspective of a blind person, and I don't care if it's a person who was able to see and can't any more, or if they were born blind. It doesn't matter to me. So you need to concentrate on the other senses; sound, touch, smell and taste.
This one will be fun because most stories depend on sight so much, so good luck with this.
Because of the difficulty of this contest it is going to be open for 3 months: November 5th, 2015. It might even be able to be extended.
-The blind character has to be cannon, no Original Characters (though they don't have to be blind in canon)
-2 Submissions per person
-Has to be a One Shot story (or at least one that could stand as a one shot. If you want to continue it later that's up to you)
-No Crossovers
-No Lemons
-At least 1500 words, drabbles aren't nearly as much fun
So of course you're all wanting to know the prizes, and here they are

I just wondered what was happening with this contest. It states an end date of 5th November but there doesn't seem to have been any activity since then and some entries below say they haven't even been accepted yet.
Was the contest extended or cancelled? I know real life can sometimes get in the way or just throw us a curve ball. But a quick note or a journal just to let us know the status of things would be much appreciated.

Umbra [ŭm′brə]

1. the fully shaded inner region of a shadow cast by an opaque object, especially the area on the earth or moon experiencing the total phase of an eclipse.
2. shadow or darkness.
Mihawk could feel the sun warm on his face. There was nothing but blue skies and blue seas ahead, and golden sand below. He breathed deeply of the salt air. He had never been one to appreciate the beauty of it all. He regretted not doing so now that the only place he could experience it was in his dreams.
And dreams were always such fleeting things.
All too soon, the sky grew dark and a great shadow fell over him like a cloud passing across the sun. When he looked up, a towering man stood above him, the top of his head reaching the sky and casting Mihawk’s world into darkness. A booming voice echoed in his ears.
“An eye for an eye, Hawk Eyes!”
The goliath lashed out with one great hand, dark blade gripped tightly in his fist, and Mihawk fel

I have a few questions: 1.) is this contest legit? like have you run a contest before? 2.) where do you submit? 3.) can it be any anime? (im thinking maybe hetalia). 4.)does it have to be a happy story or can it be dark and depressing?

I have run contests a few times in the past and so yes this is a legit contest. You submit your entries to the folder titled To Be Blind. Yes, it can be any anime and no it doesn't have to be happy. Angst stories can be just as good as happy stories

A World Gone DarkFandom: Tiger & Bunny
Length: One Shot
Summary: In an instant, Kotetsu's entire life changed, and all he wants is to see his daughter's face once more.
Kotetsu heaved a heavy sigh as he rested his forehead against the cool glass of the car window, the warm sun beating down and warming his face temporarily disrupted by the flicker of shadows from trees. The only sounds around him were the low hum of wind brushing past the car and the occasional roar of a motor belonging to a passing vehicle.
He closed his eyes, feeling his weight shift as his partner, Barnaby, sped up and slowed down with the traffic and signs lining the road.
He could remember the moment that his life changed forever quite clearly. He remembered how it felt as the doctor gently removed the bandages layer by layer, his fingers brushing past Kotetsu's dark brown hair with each pass. He remembered the hands of his friends all holding onto his and encouraging him with small squeezes. And he remembered the sound of

Oooh, okay. I have another question, does the blind guy literally has to be "blind"? Or can I interpret "blind" as something else? Such as not being able to see the stuff around him (colors, object, people, etc.), but is able to see something else entirely (no, the guy ain't crazy). I don't want to spoil too much.
