I know! It seems that every one is so quick to defend Germany and the others that the Fauchreve is trying to do bad, but it could be the complete oppisite!

I stand on both sides on this. They don't know just how innocent he really is. Judging by what they saw I would have thought the same thing is their place. However we have that little extra bit of information that shows that he really dosin't know better.

We would need to see it from the Fauchreves perspective to be able to make a final judgment. Its just that people at too quick to defend the others without thinking about the other side of the story. Its worth a thought at least

To be honest. He reminds me of Mary from Ib. She wasn't evil, she just didn't know any better. She and Reeve have a lot in common. They both want friends, and they both live in a place were only things that aren't truly real live with the occasional visitor (Reeve had more than others though and they stayed longer).
