Description
Kouichi is Koji's twin brother who he never really knew. Koji was told his mother died, when really she left with Kouichi when he was young.

The two brothers meet up in the digital world, Kouichi has no memory and is set to kill Koji. He is first Duskmon, then Velgemon. After Ophanimon restored his memories, the twins finally get to fill in the gaps. Koji later learns that Kouichi cannot stay, for he is only technically a ghost in the Digital World. He is then able to become Lowemon and JagerLowemon.

When his grandmother died, she told Kouichi about Koji and he ran to find him. Koji was on his way to the Digital World but they always barely missed each other. For example, Koji was on the subway and Kouichi got there right as the doors shut. In attempt to catch up, Kouichi ran down a flight of stairs, but fell and was put in a coma. When the Digi-Destined get back to the human world, they end up at the staircase as Kouichi is being brought down the hall towards an emergency room. The kids digivices are able to awaken Kouichi and the two brothers are re-united once more.
