What I like mostly about this composition is the way the background seems to envelope the flower/object, and gently hold it in place!!! This is done mainly by the shade of the green color and
the leaves on the stem of the flower. Thus producing a very balanced portrait...
Oh, and what an odd looking flower, what species is it???

I'm actually not sure what kind of species it is o.o it was a small little flower not yet in full bloom in my backyard, so i doubt it is anything exotic.
