My fanart of Inspector Gadget's niece and one of the most brilliant and resourceful kids in all of animation, Penny. Her Uncle Gadget wouldn't foil Dr. Claw's mad schemes, if it wasn't for her, even if he doesn't know it. My inspiration for this was quite obvious. Not long ago, Steve Harvey did a "Where Are They Now?" week on his talk show and on the final day for that week, he invited the cast of A Different World, which included Cree Summer. During that segment, I've learned more about Cree Summer's career, including the part that she's been doing voice work since she was 12 years old, especially mentioning her first voice work as Penny. 12 years old? Wow, what a trooper! Of all the characters she voiced, Penny was my most favorite. She is smart, clever, cunning and resourceful, moreso like Sailor Mercury. She is the reason why Tablets and wristwatch communicators exist today, especially with her computer book and multi-tasking watch. She is like a human Swiss Arm Knife, but without the cross on her chest. If she was a part of my ragtag team of heroes who want to save the animated world, she would've serve as my tech support, shutting down whatever evil scheme Vengstar or whatever evil force that threatens animation's existence.

In short, just like Ariel's daughter, Melody, I picture Penny as my kid sister and the one kid sister I will always depend on. If there was a ragtag team of sidekicks, Penny would be their leader and Jade from Jackie Chan Adventures would be her partner. That would be awesome!
