Mazzi wiped her tears, and started laughing. Alicia smiled. "Now, do you get why we won't fail at this mission?" Mazzi nodded. "Well," Mazzi said, "let's go get caught."
Alicia had a map of where most of the children got caught. Mazzi wasn't all sure about this plan, although she made Alicia think she was. She was still frightened. Alicia pointed from the hill they were standing on. "That's it," she whispered. Mazzi nodded, spread her wings, and jumped off the cliff. It was exhilerating! She felt so free, like the night that she broke out of the lab. Alicia was so fast, and aging by the day. She was once three, and now she is sixteen. Alicia and Mazzi were acting like they were having a picnic together in the woods, where they would get captured.
Soon enough, they were surrounded. "That's subject 13M," one whispered, talking about Mazzi. "And that's subject 12A," another said, talking about Alicia. The two acted like fearful, helpless, hungry little girls. Two men came up. "Don't try to struggle," he said. Mazzi and Alicia didn't. Mazzi glanced at Alicia, and there was that piercing blue daggers for eyes again. She quickly turned away. The two men placed Sleeping Darts into their systems, and they passed out.
Mazzi woke up to find herself in the same cage as last time. "Hello," a little girl said. Mazzi jumped from the noise and hit her head on the cage top. "Hi," she mumbled. "I'm Lalita. They gave me wings. White ones." Lalita trembled at the word wings. "I have wings too," Mazzi said, "but they're black and grey." Lalita smiled, and sat back in her cage. "I have a brother here too. We were captured together, like your friend. His name is Henry. He's nine, and I'm eleven. We both have wings." Alicia was the cage next to Mazzi, and Mazzi nodded. "It is time," she whispered. It was at least midnight when Alicia announced the break out. "Guys and girls, this is the time we break free. If you do not believe me, or do not want to go, please raise your hands now," Alicia said. Only three others besides Lalita, Henry, Alicia, and Mazzi didn't raise their hands. "Thank you for your cooperation." Alicia broke all of the cages easily. There were seven of them now. Lalita, Henry, and Mazzi flew out the window, while the others climbed out. Right before Mazzi flew out, she turned to the other kids. "We will be back for you, and you will regret not going with us. Goodbye, mutants," Mazzi said. They looked frightened, and she flew out of the window.

To Mazzi, that felt pretty good to say that.
