thanks. You can achieve soft lines by lowering the density of the pencil you are using. This also makes the base flat colors to blend with the lineart. No need for the blur effect of photoshop.

question: If I were to draw Kay and Duchess Vampire, How should they look like. I'm doodling the duchess right now.

To be honest, I'm not actually 100% decided with what I'm doing with Kay. Right now my concept for her has blonde hair and blue eyes, an aryan look. She's a highly spirited girl. She's got a gymnastic build. She favors melee weapons and sometimes wears armor (partly to hide her lack of womanly assets n_n). Kay is super strong despite her appearance and could probably bench press a horse. She's as pale as Nini and Mir, but it's not quite as noticeable since a lot of aryans are really pale.
Kay believes in the supremacy of vampires and of women in general, and wants to restore the legacy of her mother. If she had her way, the world would be wrapped in eternal night and on a larger scale most humans would be trapped in the forms of young women. And I mean nearly every human. I first got the idea for her seeing the tragic exploits of Sayaka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Mina Tepes, and her own ruthless but noble ambitions are also a big inspiration.
Duchess Solniu is a lot simpler to explain because I have reference art. I first got the idea for her looking at some pictures of an "older" Flandre. [link] [link] . Make of what whatever you will, but that's the kind of aura she has. Regal, gentle, dangerous. I was also highly inspired by the personality of Shirona from Pokemon. She's incredibly powerful and a capable shapeshifter, able to actually become mythical beasts instead of just a bat or wolf.

Duchess hair color -- dark or dirty blonde, in contrast to Kay's bright blonde. And pardon the linear measurements, but she's about 5'8 feet. She's a fairly tall woman, obviously.
Kay is about 5'6 feet. She's the tallest of the sisters. (Gwen is 5'5 and Nini is around 5'4 -- Mir is loli size)

You really did take my advice to come up with whatever you like, regardless of whatever I described. I like that, though! It's what I asked. I'm just surprised and pleased you felt bold enough to do so. It makes me happy because creativity is all about being bold. (My description of her in the actual story sounds like a magical girl version of Momo rather than anything original.)
What I like about your take is that you brought out some of her mage-like qualities, and believe it or not your color choice stumbled upon her second and secret inspiration! I was keeping it secret but she has parallels with the purple mage (Patchouli) from Touhou. Do you believe me now that you're kinda psychic?
Your version of her here is also easier for me to imagine her going "kono lolicon domome!" like Beako does. Except she really does damn lolicons... or blesses them, depending on their opinion of what happens. n_n
