As you can see here, Kirino is not cute.She will never be i tell you.
So put into your mind that... that she is not cute!
I know Kousuke will approve. Since her sister wears orange colored hair instead of black, kirino acts like a character from an H-game, and she doesn't have flaws being a student.
Now you know why i drew her -- because she isn't that cute.

I've never been a huge fan of the Tsundere archetype and Kirino was no exception, but I found her likable in some ways (not all, mind you. She did piss me off in some episodes). I don't think the show would have been the same with a cutesy sister type.

I love yandere and yangire characters. they're so much more likable than tsunders XD. There's something about a cute moe girl going batshit insane that just makes me go 'daaaw'

That aspect reminds me of some brown-haired yellow ribbon young lady with a similar sour attitude (though I still don't know the extent of the similarity).

I normally like the tsundere archetypes, but you'd have to be an extreme masochist to enjoy being beaten up or shouted at like Kirino does. Heck, she even plays with characters that act exactly like her, and still she doesn't understand that what she's doing isn't helping their sour relationship at all.
I found his "What are you, my girlfriend?" line in the latest ep quite fitting. She definitely seems to think she owns him, while he is rapidly building his own little harem.

I think Kosuke's doing a great job understanding his sister. Even though he seems like a tool, his role's essential.
Kirino unknowingly applies anime stuff to real life thus Kosuke's a balancer to her twisted personality. Also, if you've observed, the girls even Minami, Kosuke's childhood friend, spell Kirino's personality. In short, they are her. Thus the harem that Kosuke's building is his little sister.
The thing about Kirino's reaction about his brother's line was more of a shock than an eye openner... that's a bit of of a taboo for me though. But it really gives us a thought about the immaturity of Kirino. This immaturity is what Kosuke's trying to lift from Kirino.
