Budgies that we have at school for handling classes
Fun Fact:The 'nose' of the bird is called the cere
and it's about 80% accurate to tell sex of the bird by the colour
Males have blue (as in the yellow and green bird on the left) and Females have no colour or light pink (as the white and blue on the right)

Your facts are nearly all right however females have a tan or crusty brown cere when in condition (unless they have the recessive or ino gene) and have a light blue cere with white rings around the nostrils or as you say white when out of condition. You are right with the fact that males have blue ceres though

awwww the yellow one reminded me of a bird i used to own.... it was really sweet--it doesn't bite your finger when you bring it close, instead it licks it
