You know I think this is the only proper photo I have of my Lapis dress from last August? Shame it's so small.

It was the first thing I'd ever made without a pattern (and without my mannequin because I'd gained weight and couldn't use it to test things anymore). The pattern itself was only for the haltertop dress and the center part plus the triangles were applique. If I'm being honest I'd love to do this again. I could fix the crooked skirt, add larger triangles, etc. It worked for the con, but I'd love to try again! The wig needs some restyling too.

And maybe next time it'll just be the top and skirt, who knows? I honestly think that might look better, even if I don't paint myself.
