Ah the Water soluble colored pencils makes more sense now! At first I thought it was a water color painting, and then you said it was a drawing. I was freaking out as to what an amazing job you did to make it look like a water color painting. However, even though you used the water soluble colored pencils it is still amazing how well you were able to make it look like a water color painting at first glance. Well done, and I look forward to the next one!!

Thanks for your comment! I must admit I'm unsure how to call artwork done with water soluble colored pencils. Is it a drawing yet? I think it is even though it gets watercolor-look by using water.

The next drawing will be a train again but this time drawn with graphite pencils

Epic awesome. EPIC AWESOME.
That day, that full power sound, those times... I miss those times, but this drawing took me back as you captured the moment so nicely and wonderful. I mean, look at that: Curve effect, smoke from full power, WONDERFUL colors, the background, tipical from my hometown's region is so well detailed... Its just perfect Annie. Perfect! Once again, another amazing drawing from you Annie. You know already this but I love this drawing very much. It left me wordless when you gave it to me once you were here. Thank you so much for this drawing. It was probably the most awesome birthday gift I got. You're very welcome for everything (I awwed when you wrote that in Portuguese... ) but most importantly, its me who has to thank you also for everything, specially for the fun and very awesome holiday you "made for me". August 2012 is something to remember, and hopefully this year we will get another time for another adventure here. The uncertain future is killing both of us but you know, until this last holiday was worth to wait for, and now you know that the next one will be even better so lets not loose hope, we might make plans even sooner than we think!

It was pleasure for me to make this drawing for you and I'm really happy you love the drawing so much I have to laugh now when I recall I was unsure at first whether I chose the right reference picture but I guess now it was the best choice I could make It makes me feel so special when you consider it to be probably the best birthday gift you got

The train is just awesome contrast, colors, perfect!
You could perhaps have made more volume in the grass, but honnestly that is really cool

I completely agree with you - the train is just awesome! Drawing background (especially stuff like trees, grass, etc.) is still my weak spot but I always try my best Once again, thanks for your comment!

Thanks! I'm fine but life and especially work keeps me busy and away from things I would love to do Recently I returned from fantastic holiday in Portugal though I always say it doesn't matter where you are but with who you are there with

I'm glad that youve come from a nice holiday! yes its true, if you are with the one you love, then anywhere can be beautiful! I know life has a way of being all work and not much fun when we are grown up. dont we wish we could go back to our school days when things were so simple?
I am doing ok, I am looking for a proper job, which I havent had in some time, so you can imagine the stress levels are quite high sometimes. oh well, life is what it is. Nice to hear from you Annie
