Just a specie design i did a little while agoDetails:
Strafen Traum is German for Punished Dreamer. This specie had actually taken me a while, I had been working on it for about 2 years now, way before i joined Wolfhome and Deviantart
Info:
Only seen in Germany and the Stonehenge. They're Carnivorous, Pretty tall and top predator, and can unhinge their jaws
Life span: 30 years
Offspring: When birthed they are then consumed and kept in a special pouch-thing until they're a month old. When the baby is being winged, the mothers grow these bloody/carcass mangoes for them to eat until they're 10 months then the mothers leave. The babies will only eat the mangoes.
Horns: twiggy yet very sturdy, males and females have horns
Eyes: Very hollow/dead, other than that pretty much alive
Mouth: tongue is normal but when males are ready to mate, will ooze a mucus like substance
Mane/tail: Males' are very long and tend to drag, females are very well taken care of, and feathered
Usually solitary creatures, however sometimes 2-3 females will stick together
Backs are very sturdy but can dip/cave in
All elders have long drooping hair and will always keep their heads lowered
When they reach their 30th birthday they will dig a hole then they will lose meat/skin/etc on their head until skull is exposed, then thier heads with horns intact will fall into the hole/coming off the neck and will then grow into a beautiful willow tree,which is unusual for that area
They have belly fur
Similar to an apparition their presence takes all energy from the room, making it cold and wherever they step dead plants, and when they breathe they emit a fog.
Never emaciated or obese
