I didn't know that people do racing with multiple reindeer. Maybe it is a Russian thing? In Finnish Lapland, they race single reindeer, with the "jockey" on skis.

This is an amazing shot!Β It looks like you've caught everyone mid-race.Β The driver's numbered bib and the reindeers' panting faces say it all!Β The beasts' efforts are clearly captured in the patches of fog created by their breath and, of course, their wildly lolling tongues.Β I really love the way your shot makes every single reindeer look like it's smiling

I would like to know why all of them have the same expression with the tongue and all.
And why males just have one horn!

During certain seasons all male deer loose their antlers and grow them back slightly larger for the next year I believe.Β

These are reindeer though, and females of this species also have antlers, so these may not be male.Β (Hence why Rudolph the reindeer was female- In December when Christmas is, the females have antlers and if I recall right the males have shed them by this point.) They also don't look like they shed them, these look like they were sawed off (see the bits still sticking out? If they shed them those wouldn't be there). Sawed off possibly for safety reasons?
