Ok guys, now were getting into the allies rather than immediate family characters so let's get to it, do it!

Member when I said that Frank, Max's dad, is the captain of a secret team of Paranormals? Well meet his second-in-command: Virgil Ward III first name inspired by Virgil Hawkins, better known as Static Shock and last name and appearance inspired by Hines Ward, retired wide receiver for the Pittsburg Steelers, my daddy's favorite all American football team.

I originally got the idea of Frank having a commander who is also his best and most trusted friend after watching Transformers 2007 and just adored the relationship between Lennox and Epps, so really Ward has been a long time coming character! So glad I finally decided to sit down and give them faces to the characters that have been in my head for the longest time.

Ward is a really tough Para, he's of gargoyle ancestry, giving him the ability to turn into a gargoyle as well as a stone form. I've been trying to incorporated some of the classic monster and paranormal beings into my stories and I just couldn't forget one of my favorites; I did grow up watching Disney's Gargoyles after all and the ones that came out in I, Frankenstein (2014), yeah had to be done! Despite the beast inside, Ward is a sweetheart, taking Max under his wing as soon as he met her and understood her mixed feelings about her father. He's a father himself, a daughter, and a husband as well; that small part of his background I must give credit to Roman Reigns; he has a lovely family and he is just a tough but cuddly teddy bear when he's being Dad.
