Description
It was a cold day, the wind howled and my curls were flying around my face. The mist clouded my vision and made it almost impossible to see. But I barely noticed any of those things. My head was pounding and my stomach was aching.
"Not again" I thought "please not again"
The feeling intensified. I wanted to scream but even if I did it would've been concealed by the wind. No one would find me. No one would help me take away the pain. I cried. I couldn't help it; the feeling was just too much. The curse was killing me. It was filling my head with pain so I couldn't think properly; it was making my stomach ache and growl. I put my hands over my ears and sat there in the cold, freezing. That was when I saw it, the cause of my torture.
A blue eye stared at me through the darkness. It was a brilliant blue sapphire that glowed in the darkness. I hated the cursed thing. I sat there, glowering at it, until the pain eased a little and my head cleared.
"I'm cold" I thought numbly.
I was about to stand up and move when I saw my skin. It was tinged blue and I was shivering. I knew what that meant.
"Hyperthermia" I whispered out loud.
I was such an idiot. I hadn't realised how long I'd been out. It must have been hours and the cold was swooping over me all the time and because of my stupid curse I hadn't noticed. I hung my head; I was never going to get back without help.
"Hazel!" called a voice.
I didn't answer, I had to be hallucinating. No one else would be stupid enough to come out in this weather.
"Hazel!" repeated the voice, this time it was closer.
"Yes" I replied, my voice shaking.
"Where are you?" asked the person and suddenly I recognised the voice.
I was saved.
"Frank!!!" I cried in delight.
