Collected Knowledge: Holstauruses are an interesting breed of mamono that have the upper body of a very well-endowed and voluptuous woman and the lower hooves and calves of a cow. They have small horns on the upper sides of their heads and cows’ ears where human ones would be, as well as a small tuft of fur beneath the center of their collarbones.

They can be found wandering grasslands and fields in small herds of five to eight. The herds migrate according to the weather, though they are often found in warmer climes to begin with, where they can stay close to their source of food without moving too far when it gets colder. When these mamono are born, they will often stay with their mother until they reach their age of maturity, at which point they will leave the herd to join another one on their own. The togetherness instilled in their first family creates a strange sense of attunement within this mamono, and often they do not have to search very long to find other lone holstauruses looking for a herd to call their own. Despite the wide variety of colors and patterns that can occur in the fur of these mamonos, herds are not discriminatory at all when they take new members in. It is not uncommon to see a herd consisting of all mixes of holstaurus, from many different families and upbringings, talking and enjoying the company of their fellow adopted sisters.

One of the most unique things about the holstaurus is their gentle and caring disposition. In addition to this, their natural beauty and curvaceous bodies draw the eyes and efforts of many human male suitors. Often, however, these efforts are met with rejection, as holstauruses are very particular when it comes to mating. No one is entirely sure what qualities they look for; sometimes the qualities are ones that are mirrored in the holstaurus herself, but when a connection is made it is done so instantly. A holstaurus knows if she wants to mate with a man within the first few seconds of their meeting and when she chooses that lucky male, she devotes herself to him completely, with her whole heart, leaving her old herd and moving in with him. In such cases, the man’s quality of life almost always vastly improves. Not only do they have the pleasure of living with a gorgeous, passionate wife but they also find new financial opportunities in the milk that holstauruses produce.

Holstaurus milk is a commodity that has received immense praise and attention in recent decades. Not only has it been found to be delicious and filling, researchers believe that it is full of life-promoting nutrients and vitamins. Those who try it almost never use regular milk again and swear by it for just about every recipe. All milk-related transactions are done by the Milk Utility Union, which is a commercial organization run entirely by the husbands of holstauruses.

* Those lucky enough to be chosen as their mates always attest to the supporting, caring nature of these mamono. Pets and children are drawn to them almost immediately, but their nature isn’t only limited to their roles in a relationship. Almost all holstauruses have a unique way with plants and growing greenery, to the point of encouraging unusual health and size in whatever florae they dedicate their attention to. They love gardening and helping greenery flourish. It is not uncommon for those living with holstaurus to return home to find rich vines covering their fences and beautiful gardens blossoming in their backyards.

** Holstauruses are different from many mamono in that they enjoy being tickled more than they do tickling. While they are more than capable of indulging in tickling others, they, on several levels, derive more fulfillment from being tickled. Though the depth of this quality varies in different holstauruses (one or two have been known to enjoy tickling and being tickled equally) they are generally known to love being helpless under a titillating touch. Many believe that it’s this ticklish energy that makes their milk so tasty, and the happier, more satisfied the holstaurus is, the more the delicious the milk will be.
