That sigma lense seems to be working out good for you. I tried the Nikon 80-400 last weekend and I was not impressed...
What time of day and what shutter speed did you use on this shot if you don't mind me asking. With the 80-400 I had to bump up my ISO on my D800 to about 400 or 600 to get the faster shutter speeds, even in broad daylight
And the 80-400 wasn't very sharp at all...
Anyhow, nice work BTW... Love the color and depth in this image.
