This would make a great Christmas Card! (I actually bought cards once that were quite similar- in an oil painted design. The city street with shops also had a group of people hurrying by, while children stood looking in a shop window.)

I never write nothing in works without complete resources (for many personal reasons) but i want do an exception because i want appreciate your effort to be gone beyond the standard cut and for the effort to blend the scene. but the type of cut used of course is few important to create a great work. I appreciate above all the effort to go beyond the standard vision, few important if vertical or horizontal.
for curiosity, Why didn't you added someone walking there + some face of some child watching out through one on those windows on the top? Because is the contest only "Landscape"? or because was you tired?

I was inspired by a Christmas present I got: a puzzle showing a street like this one (but on spring, with a lot of flowers), and I love it. But it doesn't show any people. I don't think that people will add something to this picture, I love to imagine that I'm walking alone in this imaginary street.

People or in any case some visual story add always extra interest to the manip. ( i do always the example about some animation movie......try to image your fav. animation movie without characters....Yes ok we could appreciate the cool artistic scene but nothing more)
And so, yes this your idea about someone walking alone in this street was a great idea to add this interest. But to add this extra interest the character don't is necessary be human.......but also some creature. like the typical reindeer dragging the sled with some tree on.....and over the tree some child.
but the author are you, so you are always you to decide what do about your works. Have a great New year!
