WOOOH! GOLDBERRY IS AWESOME!!!  i really wish tombombadil and she could have been in the movie, they would have been great characters, especially with tom's costume

though i have a fear of the barrowwights, so i'm glad they weren't included, even though it would have been great when old tom cam to the rescue ^.^

The barrowwights are in the movie, and the contest I participate only accept characters which were not include in the movie. Thank you!

when are they in the movie? (sorry if i'm bugging you) they aren't the balck riders are they?the black riders are the nazgul which are differnt entirely, aren't they?

Of course, they aren't black riders. It is a long time I saw the movie, but I think my memory is good enough. In the movie, the passage of the black forest, including the old willow and the meeting with Tom Bombadil and Goldberry, aren't shown; but the one in the Galgals is in the movie: Tom Bombadil doesn't rescue the hobbits, Frodo succeeds to cut the hand of the barrowwight with the sword put on his side.

Very well done and worthy of a fave. It was a real shame that Jackson and his crew left out the whole Tom Bombadil part of the story.

I love this picture. On the other hand, I'm an absolute sucker for Tolkien themed artwork, so the title alone had me clicking in for a better look.

Don't tell Peter Jackson! He's unaware of her existence! Nice montage, good use of the components.

As a fan of the book, I was - of course - disappointed by the movies: it doesn't mean they are bad, but they don't always follow the book, and the characters were often changed (I didn't recognized the courageous and humanist Faramir, for example).

The also brave, sensible, and quite willing to make a moral stand Faramir, you mean... He did get a good scene, that was not in the books, in the extended edition.

Yes, you're right. I did a watercolor of Tom Bombadil www.tolkiendil.com/galerie/wip… and now, I'm looking for a model to do a manipulation (why are male models so hard to found?)

Nice watercolor!

There are plenty of male models...just most of them are shirtless/clotheless for anatomy references But I'll keep an eye out and let you know if I spot any bombadils out there!
