A minimalistic fan-art picture of Vivian from Paper Mario 2! Now will come the "Vivian is a guy!" calls. It seems that in the Japanese version, this character was male (or, morelikely, referred to with genderless pronouns, but I can't say either definitively), while in the translated versions, she has been written as a...well, "she". So, is Vivian truly male or female?

My take? It doesn't matter what she was originally, cause she's definitely a girl now! ;D And with my art and wacky imagination, that is a theme that pops up again and again.

So whether you stumble on Vivian art depicted as male or female, don't get all in a huff either way. Perhaps the boy-Viv pics were before she went through her little magical gender shift! She's certainly a girl now, though. Shax will attest to this! [link]
