Description Done for an art class project

Started somewhere early march..Finished march 28th :

I don't believe I've ever spent so much effort on an art peice. I'm proud of it, though seeing it again I notice some imperfections..I guess that's normal though

Everything from the original sketch to this finished product was done freehand by me. Reference photo was from a book called "the Majestic Horse" by Alex Hook

Yes, be very proud.

I can't believe I missed this when I came by to check you out. God I must have been drunk. Look at that. It's simply beautiful. I love the yellow hue that the earthy tones sort of have. Makes it look aged. Until I looked at the full view, I would have guessed that the shading in the mane was provided by very fine brush strokes of a smoky color. But no, it makes this a really special piece for the realism in the tails and manes comes from the beautifully skilled texturing of the paint. I also really adore the mid-lit clustering of the flowers, the only thing I think could have been improved is the use of more randomization around the horses back. Overall, this is asolutely wonderful.

ooh it's lovely! Acrylic or oil? I love the thickness of the paint on their manes. Great colours too

I love the shading on their horses and the texture of their manes. Nice little sparkles in their eyes too
I reckon drawing horses is one of the most difficult things, you did a great job

Thanks I'm not quite sure what kind of paint it was It wasn't very high rade though some sort of bought in bulk paint If I find out I'll let you know
