Like a tsunami, you loom.
Splashing down, waves of gloom.

I’m fighting though drowning,
I’m struggling and counting...

How long will I last?

I hate you, in entirety
The False Piety

It is you I wish to ignore,
Quiet your roar.

Of self doubt and self defeat.

The gulls call false praise
In cliche phrase-s.

Humility, the salt overused.
Without, I am unamused.

And grow weary of it.

May the Hand take hold.
Amidst the icy cold.

Mercy. Let me not go.
Under light wings, stow.

This precious cargo, yours, always.

This was actually done for a special friend who is going through so very much right now. She related to my poem and well... I thought she'd enjoy this. She knows who she is.

Maybe some of you all can relate too?
