Tiny baby Lakita with his mother. He is about a week and a half here, all fluffed up and sleeping.

Lakita is a Mountain sphinx - whether his race is an fact a true sphinx or not, is not yet decided by those whom have observed them and studied them.

In this race, there is a dominant male whom controls the best hunting grounds along with his few females.

Then there is the local shaman, usually a sibling to the dominant male and a practitioner of natural magic.

Then there are the adult males and females, hunters, gathers.

Cubs are next in line, since they need the most attention. Usually there are six to two cubs in a litter.

And the lowest on the social ladder is the adolescent males and females, whom often have their kills stolen and get harassed by the older adolescents and sometimes the adults.

Lakita was the only cub born alive of a litter of three and that is the only reason he, as a runt, would have survived.

When he grew up, he only grew to be the size of a large tiger and thus, was picked upon, tormented and finally decided it best to find his own territory else where.
