The velvety black silhouette with the bright delecate flowers is a really gorgeous and graphic combination. Even after reading your reason behind this I still have some things to ponder - why muninn, not huginn?

Muninn is a memorial tattoo for my father, (thus Memory). I have plans for Huginn, but as Memory is served well as a silhouette, a basic imprint... Thought requires something much more dynamic.

I've designed most of my tattoos, but an artist completely messed up one of them, and to cover it the new tattoo has to be completely black.

my best advice in seeking raven image inspirations for tattoo is find as many words for raven or crow in as many different languages as you can discover... and google them.

You know, I had been looking for a crow/raven design for my next tattoo. Would you mind if I used this one? 'Cause I *really* like it. You definately got talent for coming up with it. ^_^

This is for my dead father. I'd feel a little weird (read: completely disrespected) knowing there was someone else with this precise combination of odin symbology and hawthorne, which was my father's landscaping company.
you want a silhouette? great. flowers? lovely.
they are both easily found with google. if you can't find a bird shape you like at first, research "crow" or "raven" in other languages and google those.
I don't mind being a source of inspiration. That is an honor actually, but I didn't design this for you, I designed it for my father, and feel compelled to defend that it is in his memory that you see it at all.

wow, I don 't know how this will look when it's healed, but damn, This is honestly one of the best tattoos [in both design and execution] that I have ever seen. I would kill to have something that awesome on my body forever. Go you.
