Description This photo was taken about 1 minute before 'Hidden'.

There was this section of garden that had a few bees in amongst these white flowers. I just basically took heaps and this one is the best one.

I also like this one. Maybe to enhance it you can take it into Photoshop and lighten the picture a little bit. It seems a little bit to faded and dark. ^.^

I know, I know. It keeps haunting me that I submitted this piece before I manipulated. I have a version that is MUCH better with lighting (believe me). Check back tomorrow afternoon and it'll be up.

Thanks for telling me that though, otherwise I wouldn't resubmit.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about the colours -- you should have seen the original image! I used the GIMP a bit on it, and before that I also did I'm Feeling Lucky in Pacasa, which made it come out magic.

But unfortunately I haven't played around with Picasa enough and am a bit unsure of how to save the changes after making them. But I think I will have to do that!

It would have been a bit brighter through the GIMP, but it made most of the dew drops disappear, and these were a big feature in the shot. But Picasa seemed to bring out the colour more and keep the dew drops.

Thanks much for the critique. I appreciate it.

This is a great shot, but you really, really need to get your hands on some image manipulation software. Three or four clicks in Photoshop or even Picassa's "I'm Feeling Lucky" would rescue this from the muddiness that it now suffers.

The Levels dialog in Photoshop could make this 'snap' with whiter whites and truer color overall in no time. Contact me if you want to see what it looks like after I did that to it. It takes it from nice to wow.

The composition, plus a big dose of 'right-time-right place make for an incredible shot. I especially love the dew drops.
