Older stuff for the It Must be Turned concept. Here is Elaina Mitchell, widow of a WW2 air pilot. Originally Italian, she keeps a lot of the characteristic hand movements in her speech. She has wonderful tone and despite her strangely, still heavy accent, is one of the best storytellers.
Here I wanted to show how the weight of the rug tolls on her. She starts as a rather eccentric old woman, still able to get around and do the majority of things for herself but eventually it begins to drag on her, turns her ancient and silent. It was fun trying to transform her.
She is based on one of my operatic singing teachers, did she has a set of lungs on her and her fashion was gorgeous.
