This is for a project for uni, originally called the time machine project. We have to work in groups of 8, which means several different trains and schools of thought at once so we really had to compromise on the end idea. Our time machine ended up being a therapy machine for those with mental illness or depression.
Doctors can traverse each patients timeline in their memory and examine them in order to try and treat them. The doctors do not appear as physicians though, they are represented through avatars, either Sigmund or Florence, named for famous doctors. These avatars are an amalgamation of a range of faces from the country the patient is from, in order to become disguised within the memories. For the avatars to be effective, they must be forgettable. The models here are the Anglo Saxon versions, often used for Great Britain. They hardly vary, apart from in clothing, it can be disconcerting when the doctors group together. The avatars are like clones.
The avatars cannot interact with the memories of the patient, only observe.
As well as the doctors, there is the Mechanic, who keeps them out of harms way. A bodyguard of sorts. Our patients memory, or at least the one we are focusing on, are in the 80's, which explains the clothing.

n.b, i kind of went on a tangent here, had a bit of fun. This might not be even used but what the heck, fun to design C:
