Ofelia hummed as she wandered. Yes, wandered was the correct word for she was slightly, well utterly lost in this forest of a garden that belonged to her Captor. She stopped next to a patch of Lillies. He didnt seem so much of a Captor anymore, just a lonely man, bereft of human companionship.
Ofelia giggled. Baba would be proud of such a long sentence. He had always been proud that she had a higher education, no matter how long she was in it for. She stopped giggling.
Baba.
She missed him so much. How was he coping? He was the breadwinner of the house, he had always provided but he never wore the trousers in the house. That was Mum's job. She sorted the house and washing and when Baba divveyed out the bacon she would assign it carefully, never wasting a penny. She was never a pennypincher though, she was just careful. Once a month Mum would use her scrimpings for baking; bread, cakes, cookies, you name it. And when Mum got ill...it all went to her. The house be damed, food be damned, essentials be damed. As long as she got better, Ofelia didnt care if she never had special frosted fairycake ever again.
Ofelia licked her lips, wetting dry skin. She hadnt eaten since yestersay. She frowned at her sense of pride. She had politely sent away any offering of sustenance. She had still been fuming from HIS...His...actions but found no reason to be impolite to the staff. They were so nice to her.
She bent to smell the lillies, they almost reached her waist and were the colour of fire, the petals licked at her nose like flames and the smell made her nose twitch.
She frowned. How odd. She had never been allergic to lillies...only ro-
"Rose?"
Ofelia turned her head to find a red rose stuck in her face. She flapped her hands at it and jumped away from the offending flora. Ofelia looked up to see Him, clad in a black suit, Armani she surmised, and gloves, still holding the red terror. He seemed a little confused.
Ofelia held a hand to her nose and tried to explain through the cracks in her fingers.
"All-ergic-to-Row-sis" She flapped her free hand at the flower again to emphasis "Bake-be-Sdeeze!"
It took Him a moment to decipher her burblings. He looked sadly at the rose.
"Im sorry", he tried "I didnt know...Ill get Albert to rid the garden of them." He turned to walk away.
He looked so sad, is he hurt? Something in Ofelia's chest squeezed tightly before she could blurt out; "No!"
His head twisted round, glove still wrapped tightly around the thorny stem, blue eyes open and surprised.
Ofelia dared to remove her hand and moved towards him and the dreaded thing.
"Please no...it's so pretty." she started and moved a hand towards the bloom. He held his breath as her fingers brushed against his gloved ones. Ofelia blushed lightly and quickly plucked a petal from it.
"I'm only allergic to the pollen...I love the flowers," she paused and brushed the soft petal against her cheek. She blushed again as she noticed his eyes following the petal's track. She dropped her hand back to her side "Theyre so lovely, please dont get rid of them."
His distorted face moved unfathomably for a moment before a nod. Ofelia mirrored him.
"Thankyou." She said politley before begginging to walk away, hoping to get lost again, so that she could think clearly.
"Wait!"
She stopped but did not turn.
"I never knew but, what IS your favourite flower?"
Ofelia smiled to herself and shouted back.
"Sunflowers, Mr. Eastley."
And she waltzed away, leaving the confused man to watch for a moment before yelling for his manservant to buy Sunflower seeds immediatley.

Teehee. I thought "My Beauty's not gonna have the whole "rose" cliche" and so i thought of this C: I bluddy loved colouring this one, so perty. My favourite part is her shoulders and neck C:
