but, maybe, because you scanned it, you should use a program like photoshop or microsoft office picture manager (picture manager isn't that hard to use), so that you can improve the quality a little

I know what you mean, I've had the same problems with my drawings.. until I found out my computer had picture manager, and my uncle was looking for a download link for photoshop, and then I could use photoshop too (although I haven't found out how it works, but I'll try as soon as we have holidays again)...
