Great.
I ride back up to the Lone Wolf Ranch, having revived an Email from Brandon asking for some help working out a rowdy Wolfhorse.

This wolfhorse was restless, while galloping around his stall. Brandon was looking on, with a stalk of hay in his mouth. He turns to see you. "Howdy there... jeez, can you believe it?" Brandon wasn't in the best mood. "This guy's causing such a ruckus. He barks fiercely, his clip clops seem to disturb the other wolfhorses, and he howls whenever I'm playing my guitar. Seems like a real rebel."

I chuckle.
βYa know, wolves and horses howling when they hear music is a form of showing joy, so he probably likes your music. I can get the rest of the complaints though... sorry heβs been so brash.β
I enter his stall, standing to my full height to claim size and strength dominance over Eighty.

Eighty slows down his gallop upon seeing you, but rears up and barks. He growled as you try to prove dominance.

I glare into his eyes, letting out a small growl as I approach.
βCalm down, now.β
I speak in a commanding voice, clearly not going to take no as an answer.

He snorts, swishing his mane at you, his eyes closed, while he turns to look away.

I let out a snarl.
βLook at me!β
I roar, going for the fear factor. Respect come from fear, understanding, or partnership, and he seems to have refused the first two from Brandon.

Eighty then yelped, before obediently staying silent and still.

I walk closer.
βNow, calm down.β

He turns around to look at you, and calmly huffs.

I gently pet his muzzle.
βSee now, what was there to strike out about?β

There was a thorn stuck on the bottom of his left front paw. Maybe that was the source to all of this.

I kneel down and gently tap the back of his leg.
βRaise your paw.β

Eighty lifts his paw as instructed.
Brandon was surprised. "Huh? Oh man... I didn't even check it."

I gently pluck the thorn out, patting his leg once itβs out.
βAlright, that should hurt less now buddy.β

He whines a bit after you pulled it out, but calms down. Eighty sees this as a sign of appreciation, and licks you once or twice.

I smile, gently petting his muzzle.
βGood boy. Iβm sorry for scaring you, but I knew you wouldnβt calm down unless you knew who was boss.β

Eighty seems to understand you, as he presses his muzzle against your head.

I smile, rubbing his muzzle with one hand, the other petting his neck and side.
βYou just needed someone to let you relax and help ease your pain.β

Brandon lightened up, while nearly breaking down at the heartfelt moment. "Hu-huh... you guys are getting along."
As a prize for helping him out, Eighty kneels down sphinx style, offering you a bareback ride.

I smile, slipping onto his back and getting a grip at the base of his mane.
βGood boy.β

Eighty stands up, and walks over to the stall door.
Brandon opens it up, and goes inside to grab his riding tack as Eighty exits out of the stall with you riding on top.
You, Eighty, and Brandon were all outside in the riding corral, as Eighty was saddled up. He gallops around the ring, until stopping at the first minute to let you ride.

I hop onto his back, getting set and petting around his ears.
βGood boy. Letβs rock.β

Suddenly, Eighty bucks around to surprise you. His bucking level was on a scale of 7.

I stay on easily, laughing as he tosses around.
βYeehaw! Ride on, big fella!β

His mane was flapping around, his bucks weren't that big of a problem. After 20 seconds of bucking, he stops to see if you were able to hold on tight.

I smile and pat his neck once heβs stopped.
βGood ride, friend.β

Eighty barks in response, panting.
"Woooo! You showed him how it's done!" Brandon exclaimed. He hopped over and into the pen, approaching Eighty as he pets his forehead. "If I were to play some music on my speakers, I wonder how it'll affect his bucking skills."

I shrug, petting Eightyβs neck.
βWhat do you say, buddy? Up for another round?β

Eighty was more ready than ever.
Brandon found a bluetooth speaker box, and played country music that was more suitable for rodeos. Feeling energized by the rhythm, Eighty bucked rhythmically to it, but hept his bucking level the same as before.

I smile, still easily holding on.
βHey, Brandon, maybe try a faster song or some Metal music?β

Brandon hadn't thought of it. "Uh-- sure!" He switches to a different country/metal song, with a faster tune and rhythm. Eighty was picking up his speed while bucking to the new rhythm.

I smile, holding tonight to his back. Glad the idea was right and waiting for him to stop.

He bucked for a long time until the song ended. Eighty then pants, and walks over to a nearby water trough to drink up.

I slip off of his back, rubbing his shoulders.
βGood ride boy. Youβve got good rhythm.β

He nods, taking the compliment while nuzzling you.

I gently pet his head and down his neck.
βHey, drink up friend.β

Eighty needed all of that water, due to using up a lot of his energetic bucking and ruckus today. He walks on in the corral, giving you a slow ride.

I smile, letting him relax and take the smoother ride.
βGood boy.β

It was nearly sunset when it was time for you to head out.
"Well, you did pretty awesome with riding on Eighty. You even helped him out back there when I wasn't able to. How do you even do it?"

βIβm big, Iβm strong, I work with animals like Horses and other beast as such every day. Once you know what can set something off and get an eye for what can cause pain, you get good and learning how to fix it.β
I offer Brandon a handshake.

Brandon shakes his hand in respect. "For me, I may not be like you, but I'm striving to be daring when it comes to raising animals like these. I'll bust every bucking bronco there is until the end. But for now, I gotta take care of these guys the way they wanna be treated."

I nod and chuckle.
βBusting every bronco, huh? Quite a loft goal, donβt you think?β

"I know it sounds crazy, but I'm looking forward to it."
