Description Even though i prefer not to support "christmas" i still like to use it as an excuse to make things for people :F
So these are some holiday cards for mum and dad

shalst i explain how i did the teapot card? A girl from my residence showed me how to do these. She made dyes out of boiled beets and onions ( i used onion juice). You start off with a design or object (i used a teapot given that my mum adores them), pencil it in lightly, and then go crazy with the paint! If you are using natural dyes such as onion juice, the colour will be extremely pale at first. Just keep making swirls of paint, let that layer dry, and continue. Eventually you will have some sections that are quite colourful and dark, and some areas will be left pale (this is a good thing)
MAKE SURE IT IS DRY BEFORE YOU DO THE NEXT STEP
When you are satisfied, use a thin artists pen- NOT ballpoint, outline the main subject in your painting.
Heres the fun part.
Look at all the different lines and marks the dye makes in your painting. With your pen, outline ALL the little shapes you see in the dye! It may seem wierd and scary when you're doing out, but it turns out fantastic! Plus its a very meditating method.
It takes quite a long time, but the end result is beautiful! This was my first try!
For my dads card, i just used watercolour and i probably finished it within 20 minutes. After i was satisfied with the painting, i outlined some of the swirls and it ended up looking like this cool japanese wave type thing! I really like art that is based merely on experimenting, you should try these! Just make sure to personalize them
I'll let you guys download it if you want, so you can see all the tiny lines you should outline!

Annd i made one for my brother too. Its darth vader with a christmas hat. Inside it says:
"Merry-KOOOOH Christmas-KAAAHHHH"

how lame am I?
