Description ‘Cause Lin Bei Fong would be the most amazing steel type Pokémon trainer in the existence of everything.
I imagine her party would be as follows:

Steelix
Lucario
Bisharp
Metagross
Ferrothorn
Skarmory

I was hesitant to give Lin Lucario because I don’t really like Lucario I wanted to give her Aggron, but I decided that Lin would so have a Lucario. It would be like, her police dog, or whatever. Plus, its ability to sense auras would work beautifully alongside her blind earth-bending.

Plus, plus, I’ll be giving Bolin Aggron instead. :3

Steelix was Lin’s first Pokémon. She got it back when it was just an Onix and she raised it lovingly. It’s her baby.

Lucario works as her tracker and police partner when she needs it. Its ability to pin point peoples’ auras is perfect for locating both missing people and fugitives. The police force adopted it as a Riolu when benders started disappearing more frequently as the Equalist movements started to pick up. It strove to prove itself and evolved quickly under Lin’s praise. It follows her most loyally.

Bisharp is for more dangerous missions where the criminal(s) prove to be more vicious and Lin needs to take them down quickly, efficiently, and with added force. She defeated a boss Bisharp in a battle for power over a group of Pawniard that were settling dangerously close to Republic City. She then took it under her wing when it was exiled from the group for its defeat.

Metagross is used mainly when Lin has to deal with obstacles that have to do with elements other than earth. Its psychic powers allow her to navigate water, fire, and other non-bendables with greater ease. Impressed with her intelligence and power, it decided to follow Lin when she successfully held her ground against it when it tried to eat her.

Ferrothorn is the one the works alongside Lin very often in the field. The vines it swings by mimic her metal-bending cables. Lin had to dedicate much time and diligence to teach it to keep the damage it causes when it latches onto and swings from walls to a minimum. It was found as a Ferroseed stuck to the underside of a merchant’s cart, starving. In its fear, it consistently shot barbs at anyone who tried to remove it. Only Lin braved the attacks to finally freed it from the wood and released in a cave outside of the city. When it evolved, it traveled back to find her, unintentionally tearing up many buildings. It has been by her side ever since.

Skarmory is Lin’s eye in the sky. The only Pokémon of hers that isn’t actually captured. It comes to her call and in exchange Lin allows it to safely nest on her the roof of her home. It frequently joins her when she travels by the city’s network of cables. If speed is what Lin needs it’s Skarmory she turns to. It’s not big enough to carry her, but if it’s a message, tailing a vehicle, or an aerial strike, there is no one Lin trusts more.

Lin's got some pretty kickass pokemon in her arsenal.

She would so have a Steelix.
