Pascal yelped as her feet and legs plunged through the dry crust of the riverbed, embedding her firmly in the thick, mucky grip of the clay below. Movement only made her sink even deeper, the thick clay acting like quicksand.The rope thrown by her rescuers was old, and broke easily, the thick fibers crumbling as they pulled apart. Pascal was still stuck, and still sinking deeper...

I discovered Pascal, and knew that I had to draw her.Β
I also wanted to do something a little more lighthearted, and this was fun.

Love the concept of her trapped in the thick, heavy clay lying in wait below the dried surface of the riverbed. Β The suction formed around her legs and derriere is no doubt tight and inescapable... Β it'll take a lot of effort to free her.
Her facial expression really makes this piece special as she looks down at the sorry piece of rope in her hands. Β You can almost hear her say, "Seriously?!" as she slowly sinks even deeper into the riverbed mire.
