Ok, so RCarter is havin a "draw your DC character as a zombie" kind of how Marvel did their zombies...So i decided to take on Hawkman as a zombie...except my hawkman's wings are permanently attached to him...not some stupid strap on wings...so B/c they are apart of him, they died a long with him...
The biggest problem with this piece was going to be the wings...If i screwed up the wings, then the whole piece would have been screwed up...But i think i got the wings lookin pretty cool...so i'm happy with the overall effect of the piece...
This is a crappy scan, just b/c of the different shadings i put on the feathers to make them look like feathers, the scanner didn't pick up all the lines...so this was the best i could get...

All i have is the copy you can dl from the site here...it was a scan from a pretty terrible scanner so unfortunately this is the best quality that I have for this one. Sorry

if not and u just ink it i can color it, i need all the practice i can get and also i think the coloring looks better with another artist drawing then my own, maybe im to critical

i'd really like to have this colored like a painting...like a dell'otto picture...that would be wicked....but alas, i'm not that good at coloring with photoshop... = (
I'll try and see if i can get a better copy of this picture...maybe just take a picture of it with a digital camera...that might come out better...and try to ink it digitally...i'm not confident enough to throw inks on the actual paper copy just b/c i haven't done that enough to try it in fear of screwing up the picture itself

gotcha im learning in all areas with this concentration, between sketching, drawing, inking and coloring, plus scripting and page layouts, alot of work, maybe im just psreading myself abit to thin

Only have two small critiques...
The moon behind him looks odd. It looks as if it's pear shaped almost.
The wings look great but the anatomy is wrong. You've drawn them like bat dragon wings. Bird wings don't have the internal "finger" bits as you've drawn them. They are like a human arm with the wingtip replacing the hand and fingers.
Still a really nice piece tho. Definitely not a Deadhead I'd want chasing me.

yea, i know about the wings but i wanted em to look more daunting and evil looking...drawing real bird wings wouldnt have given me the same effect...but i know what you mean about them..
