I love the coloring, the outfit design, the look on her face. Great piece of art!

Thanks! Cool flesh tones can be difficult. This piece went through some rough times as you can see in the paint up gif here

Glad you like how she came out. Doing a blue skin tone can be counted as zany. It's easier to do on monsters, but it's hard to make look pretty. So I'm glad it turned out well. For the hair I looked at pictures of both Ronnie Spector, and Amy Winehouse.

Don't be too hard on Amy. She was really cute till she started getting harangued by the media and consumed by her vises, near the end. The list of charities she was involved with goes on and on. Not at all the image her publicists or the media portrayed her as.

She's a 60's bad girl, not a 90's bad girl.

I started traditionally as well. It's a little bit weird at first but it helped me to approach digital like a mixed media piece, working both additively and subtractively. Throwing stuff up then scraping it away with layer masks made it easier for me to start. I also did a lot of glazing color with multiply layers over pencils I scanned in to start.

Sweep the leg Jamie!...Sorry, wrong "Cobras."
Nice job with the background, but I'm a little confused why she's blue. My understanding of how lighting works could be wrong, but I didn't think she'd be lit as blue with those yellow candle flames in the background.

I figured there'd be a logical fantasy explanation (oxymoron?). I've never played D&D or read similar literature, so it takes me a bit to recognize a dark elf when I see one.

Make sure you keep it that way. It's a social disease that some of us have to bare from a misspent childhood.

My friend almost got me infected with that plague when he started buying D&D manuals. He never had enough time to put any serious effort into it though, so I think I'm still clean. Though Lord knows my 90's-specific taste in cartoons has given me a disease of my own.
