Description
do you ever purposefullygo for a walk when the clouds are
dark and dismal, just before the sky
opens her massive maw &
pours melancholy down upon us?
do you pretend it was an accident,
as if you were caught unaware?
sometimes,
i wish each drop were an ocean,
swallowing my body in a
wash of entombment.
do you catch my drift, here?
i want to drown
in the cool, tender sprinkling of
precipitation.
even when the sun is shining.
even when the land is dry with drought &
my eyes are, too.
even when i am joyful,
i can taste the rain.
