My baby died today, July 14th, 2014, in our arms. He was old, he was exhausted, he was done. I hope there's lots of boxes in cat-heaven. He loved boxes.

For the sake of submitting something again for the first time in almost two (!) years; here's my gorgeous cat (Norwegian Forest Cat) Darwin, who has been immensely enjoying the Dutch sun lately.

It might not be a flawless shot, but for the first time in a very long time I was enjoying photography and processing photographs again. There are some things that could've been done differently, other methods of post processing, but I actually enjoyed looking at the photograph itself so much that I didn't want to change too much. A bit of levels, curves and contrast, but not that much of any of those.

He's 13 years old, but still pretty much looks and plays like a little kitten. He's crazy and not scared of anything (but fireworks) and enjoys his time in the sun in the huge cage he - and my other Norwegian Forest Cat called Nøste - has outside of the house. This seems to be his favorite spot, next to the picknick table they have in their cage as well, which of course we didn't put their because we like to sit with them but for them because - simply put - everything belongs to them, haha.

I would've preferred a different framing now I've seen it on my screen, but I've tried square and that didn't work for me personally. I'll try differently next time!
