It is sad but we people haven't learn the lesson yet even with paperless documentation nowadays. The World consumption of paper has grown 400 percent in the last 40 years. Now nearly 4 billion trees or 35 percent of the total trees cut around the world are used in paper industries on every continent. This is just one, of many ways in which we are destroying the planet.
This number should had gone down but instead is rising.
Probably they are also building more houses. Houses that people can not even afford.
On a side note: When we visit Amelia Island in July I was blown away by its beauty. That was until I realized the horror of seeing a nuclear plant on the far distance, a cellulose plant, and a paper plant. All of those near the coast fuming nasty stuff into the sky.

I hope It's not too late either, but what we have ruined will never return...but as long we still have some beauty, I'm naiv enough to believe and HOPE that people will take care of that.
