Because I am a massive tool who can't ever be trusted, and for various other reasons, here's some HOMESTUCK FANART.My headcanon on what the trolls would look like as humans. Some are liberally inspired by the designs that did a while back, while others came mostly out of left field.
I don't even know.
Alls I'm going to say is that Karkat is from New York City and he is the grumpiest New Yorker stereotype to walk the earth.

That was one of my favorite parts of drawing this, to be honest. The trolls are such a diverse group that it felt right to give them this level of diversity in appearance.

This is perfect proof that differing headcanons are not a bad thing. (For example, I always imagine Aradia as a redhead and Feferi as a blonde. Also my headcanon human!Vriska is Japanese because this one time I drew her and she came out looking Asian so I RAN WITH IT but yeah.)
I am totally digging Terezi's dragon shirt, by the way. It...kinda looks like something I might wear, honestly. XD
Also, was the particular design you used for Nepeta's hat based on Chiyo-chan's "dad" from Azumanga Daioh, by any chance? The coloring is different but the hat's facial expression just reminded me of that.

Aw, thanks! I would have given her something even goofier, all things considered, but that design just spoke to my heart or something. Or smelled nice. I'm not sure either way, but I don't regret it.
