Story:
Shade decides it's time to tell her true feelings to Rain. She writes a note to Rain to meet her at the park.
"What if she doesn't love me?" she said to herself nervously. As much as Shade didn't want to tell Rain that she loves her now, she knew she had to.
"Shade?" said a familiar voice.
Shade looks up and sees Rain walking toward her. As soon as Rain stopped right in front of her she spoke again.
"Your note said you wanted to tell me something."
"Yeah," was all that Shade could say. After a moment, Shade spoke again. "Rain, it's kind of hard of me to say, but I..."
Rain gave a soft gasp and leaned closer to Shade. Shade then forgot how to speak when she looked into her beautiful, green eyes.
"Rain, you know we've been friends for a long time, right?"
"Of course, I still remember the day we've first met. We're best friends forever."
Shade could feel herself blush at the thought of being more than just friends. She didn't want to ruin their friendship, but she had to tell her.
"Rain," Shade finally said. "Is it alright...if I could think of you more than a friend?"
Rain gave another soft gasp and Shade could see her blush a little bit.
"Shade," she said faintly.
Shade looked away from her, afraid that she had just ruined their long time friendship.
"Rain, I'm so sorry. I understand that you don't-", Shade never had the chance to finish her sentence because Rain gently grabbed her cheeks and kissed her in the lips. Surprised at first, then she closed her eyes and kissed Rain back. Their lips were locked together for the longest moment before their lips parted for Rain to speak.
"Shade, don't feel so sorry," she said lovingly. "Because I feel the same way."
"Oh Rain," Shade said faintly.
They both kiss again, this time without a care in the world for they knew nothing could ever break them apart.
