Description This had to be the catch of the month here in Daytona! A Hawker Hunter of the Airborne Tactical Advantage Company sits on the ramp after arriving from some unknown destination along with two other Hunters. Airborne Tactical Advantage Company or ATAC specializes in aggressor training with the US Navy, using 14 other Hunters along with an amount of IAI Kfirs and L-39's.

Yes, Hunters are still used both here and there for that work as they are fast and very meouverable.. Ideal for radar training on ships and intercepts from fast jet aircraft..
It was noted that the Hunter (old) id better at both that the far newer Hawk!
Great shot.. Hope you heard the Avon engine howl..

Ah cool. I saw N338AX and N336AX flying over the Atlantic bout a month ago on FlightRadar24 doing some adversary training off the coast of Jacksonville.

I was surprised to see them visible on FlightRadar. Also I saw near by a Omega 707 Tanker.

I believe that since the Hunters, Kfirs, and L39s have civilian registrations, you should be able to see them occasionally popping up on FR24. I would love to see the Omega 707 Tanker, especially how it still has the straight pipe engines instead of the CFMs on the KC-135s.

I got to see ATAC's other Hawker Hunter (N337AX) foofighter7.deviantart.com/art… at Oceana NAS before just crashed  at NAS Ventura County, Calif. on Oct. 29, 2014.  Sadly the pilot was killed in the crash and the aircraft was destroyed.  I didn't know they owned a second Hunter...

I was surprised to see the Trio of Hunters in Daytona today! It's amazing to know these old jets are getting second lives with a company that specializes in Aggressor training. N336AX came in with N334AX and N338AX.
