First impressions count! My first impression was: Wow! that is a really great piece of art and someone has put a lot of effort into making this. The lighting and the flow that this picture has created is very appealing and it makes this image feel very real. Even though I have never been to Japan but this image helps me image how it must feel walking down Urban areas in Japan. I do like the image, if I were to critique it, I would say that the building in background is not bright enough. While I do like how the artist sticks to realism, the building creates a negative mood due to its dark windows, which make it feel more like a dystopian prison. Originality suffers the most in this specific image. This picture is the representation of a specific place in this world. Originality should also convey a message. However I cannot see a message in this picture.
All in all, this art work is able to perfectly set a mood in a specific place which helps the viewer feel like they are in one of Japans Urban areas. The artist has used great detail and lighting to help the viewer experience this.
