In Korea, people believe in souls, a little different from ghosts.
It's like when you miss someone so badly and that the one you miss already has passed, you become a soul and meet the one you miss while you're in sleep.

She has got herself like that to close her eyes forever so she can meet her missed one wherever whenever she wants.
