Random question: how do you get the lines to just look like a darker version of the base color? What layer setting is it? I've seen a lot of people do it but I haven't figured it out myself.

The sketch was done in a light gray color that was set to "Color Burn" on Photoshop. When the coloring was done I merged the whole piece and just painted over it on that layer C:
