Another speedpaint, meesed about with this one a bit, probably spent about 80-90 minutes on it over a couple of days, at lease 15 minutes of that wasting my time.

"The light coming through the fissure was blinding and i got a strange feeling of anxiety when thinking about how bright it would be outside. I had lived in these places for so long, and confined by these walls. How could i bare the openness of the plains and the sky? What shall i do with freedom and light? Yet I chose to carry on my ascension on these steps. An ascension in the paths of greater people, for this stairway was certainly not built for us. Thank Heavens for that..."

This is beautiful, at first I was going to say 'speedpaint there is now way' or something to that effect, but I look at it, and I can see that It was speedily done, but that doesnt take away from the image, its a beautiful composition. I particularly like the lighting cast down from the opening.

only 80-90 minutes? That's pretty good. I'm impressed that you can measure the time spent that accurately. I usually forget to look at the clock so I never know how long I've been working.
I love the concept, though I do wish you had gone further with it and had made it even more amazing! My favorite element is the stairs (those are stairs, right??). Excellent amount of depth here too.
