Description Drex stopped when he reached the top of the little hill, noticeably shocked at what he found. "What in the world happened to your model?" Vliticus broke into a worried sprint to join his brother. The yellow dragon's jaw dropped the moment he saw what was wrong. His beloved toy boat lay almost completely submerged in the shallow lake.  Rustling in the grass nearby suddenly drew their attention away. "G-guyth?" Troi sat timidly next to a large rock. His ears drooped and he cowered with a sorrowful expression on his face. The was no hiding the black dragon's nervousness and guilt for what he'd done. "It'th my fault. I thunk it." Vliticus carefully approached and sat with Troi while Drex surveyed the wreck from the shore. "Hey, you're ok. You didn't do this on purpose." the yellow wind dragon reassured his friend. He looked out at the half sunken boat and sighed. "So, how did this happen?" Troi stopped shaking and relaxed a little. "You know how, when I thneeth I cover th-tuff in ithe?" Both Drex and Vliticus looked at him attentively. "Yeah?" Drex asked. "Well, thith time that'th not what happened. I kept watch of your boat like you athked and thet my head in the grath over here. There wath a little flower right in front of me that thmelled pretty. When I thniffed it, I muth-t have thucked up a bug or thomething cauthe it made my nothe itch really bad." Slowly, Troi looked at Vliticus and shook his head in shame. "The Minimuth wath on it'th thide before I knew it." Drex looked again at the capsized model boat barely sticking out of the water. "This was bound to happen at some point. Not that either of you would try to blow it over, but I did consider the possibility of this happening." he calmly stated. The red dragon strode into the lake and began wading out toward the model. "It's pretty sturdy. The sails may be messed up but the rest of it should be fine." Vliticus lifted his head suddenly. "That reminds me, I left the sails off today." The water was up to Drex's knees. He looked up and nodded to his brother before continuing to investigate. Sloshing gingerly around the sunken Minimus, Drex leaned close to its stern. "I think I found the problem you were having with the rudder!" The red dragon gently pushed on the rudder blade with a claw. "How in the world did you get a pebble jammed in here?!" After some time, Drex finished studying the wreck. "Your boat looks like it sank right where it was, Vliti! I don't see that it drifted anywhere! Made it easy since it was broadsided to Troi's position on shore! Considering how far off shore it is and how much it would have to lean over to start taking on water, that was quite a blast!" Troi cocked his head to the side, confused by the statement. "Quite a blath-t in what way?" Making his way back to his friends on dry land, Drex chuckled slightly. "Let's just say, I don't want to be in front of you when you sneeze." The red dragon leapt out of the lake and shook his legs dry before sitting down. "It doesn't look like anything was seriously damaged. Now of course looking through water tends to distort things, but nothing looks bent or broken. Heck, even your little banner is still tied on the mast." Vliticus stood up and started making his way down to the shore, but suddenly turned around. "Want to help me bring it up?" Troi slowly perked up with his friend's offer. "Really?" The yellow dragon waved for Troi to follow. "Absolutely!" he said, "All that water in it is gonna make my boat heavier. I need all the help I can get in lifting it out." Without any farther persuasion, Troi bounded down to the lake. He plowed through the water on his way to the model boat, hardly taking notice of its resistance. Once Vliticus had arrived, both dragons carefully tilted the Minimus onto its keel. By lifting the boat out of the silty bottom, they half-floated, half-carried the Minimus back to the shore. With one more awkward effort to lift the boat completely out of the water, they slid it into a large tuft of grass. Drex unhooked and removed the top deck, and carefully tipped the haul over so that all the water inside ran out. He looked up at the two other dragons and chuckled, gesturing to the toy boat. "I remember reading something about a passenger ship in the Great Lakes. It rolled on its side in 1915 from being too top-heavy, and for some reason this reminds me of that." The little group gathered in the grass around the model and passed the time relaxing. Vliticus watched the last of the water trickle out onto the ground. "Did I tell you about the last time it sank?" he asked, "When it was wedged between some rocks under a waterfall?" Drex grinned and nodded to his brother, remembering the story. "Wanted to be a submarine, didn't it?" The brothers cackled with laughter, easily catching Troi's attention. "How'd you raith it then?" The yellow dragon looked over at his friend. "Well, it wasn't as hard as you'd think." he said, draping a wing over Troi. "Since the Minimus was basically pushed under, there was still a lot of air trapped inside it. All I did was work it free of the rocks. Now usually, the Minimus would have come back on its own, but it was stuck in between them real good from the force of the current pushing on it. You should have seen how it shot back up to the surface though. I swear it literally looked like that one scene from 'Raise the Titanic'." The black dragon laughed at the thought of the toy boat bursting out of the water. "Speaking of raising ships, I think that yours is about dry now." said Drex with a slight chuckle. He turned his attention to the removable deck that lay discarded behind him. The red dragon carefully inspected the masts and funnel for any damage. Other than being slightly bent to one side, both masts were still in good condition. The other two dragons watched curiously as Drex worked on the thin rods. He didn't mind the attention at all. Instead, he focused on gently softening the metal in his paw and bending it back into shape. "There. Now after they cool down they should be good to go." Drex now picked the empty haul off the ground and set it upside down to get to the rudder easier. "You still haven't told me where this little rock came from." With a groan, Vliticus stood and came over to look for himself. He chuffed and took a seat in front of his brother, scratching the underside of his chin with a claw. "I don't.. honestly remember. Unless it was last week when I sailed on that one breezy day. My boat was doing a lot of drifting then. It might have scraped bottom a little." Drex shook his head absentmindedly. An idea was forming on how to remove the rock. He scanned his surroundings before plucking several long, and thick blades of grass. Holding them on top of each other, the red dragon threaded the clippings into the narrow gap between the rudder and the boat's stern. After looping them around the rock and back through the gap, Drex grasped both ends between his talons. With a quick jerk of his arm, the rock popped out of the gap with a Plink! "That should do. I think I'll make sure everything works smoothly while I'm at it." Troi and Vliticus made their way over to Drex as he turned the haul upright again. All three dragons could clearly see the little cylinders and rods within the model. Drex grabbed the rudder and gently moved it back and forth. The cylinder which controlled it slid in and out without any binding or hesitation. Satisfied, the red dragon exchanged glances between his friends as a wide grin spread across his face. "I'd call that successful, wouldn't you?"
