Fates, mostly the Birthright version. It's here I started and it is very beginner friendly. But prepare yourself for a lot of heartbreaking moment. He doesn't have the best story (Conquest have it but it's god damn hard) but it's fine. Told me when you have finally buy it.

I first discovered it after learning where the background music came from in Megaman vs Astro Boy. It's a JRPG game from SEGA where you have a team of your characters battling dragons using a time machine.
