Description These VC.10 entered service in 1970 and funded by Olympic Airways. Six units were ordered from Vickers with strengthened floor for loads up to 36 tons and side door with dimensions 3,55 x 2,4 (m). All shared engines with OA VC.10, four Rolls Royce Conway Rco.42/7, each 24,000lbf of thrust certified for very hot conditions (e.g Middle East). Numbered 671 to 676, the RHAF VC.10 had originally twin wing Mk.20A refueling pods. Later in mid 1980's they were fitted with centerline Mk17 system and the probe from the Shorts Bison allowing the aircraft to refuel itself. Operation and maintenance shared between OA and RHAF, while OA was responsible for crew training. Also in this time line all RHAF VC.10s received Conway engines with modified fuel chambers to reduce smoke by approximately 50%. All work took place in OA Technical Base in Hellinikon Airport.

From 1988 to 1994 RHAF received all 16 Vickers VC.10 Super from OA plus some airframes which were purchased for spares. Another six aircraft were converted to tanker, using a local derivative of Mk17/Mk.20A with increased fuel flow, those with side door and four were converted to EW with the Israeli Elta EL/L 8300 system. Some local designed electronics were also installed. In late 1990's to early 2000's all 16 RHAF VC.10 were modernized with partial glass cockpit and self protect systems. All these extra VC.10K aircraft were numbered 677 to 682 and the VC.10 EW received numbers 683 to 686.

the introduction of the MD-11K (another ex-OA aircraft) in late 2000's lead in retirement of the older VC.10 and gradually all were retired, with the self protection systems recycled to MD-11K and first A330K. Last flight of RHAF VC.10 was in 2018 Hellenic Air Show in September 2018 and in July also went to RIAT in UK.

Note that in my scenario Raf had 60 VC.10 in total (tanker, tanker/freighter, AEW, EW, CC = Command & Control for SSBN/SSN). last flight ever of VC.10 took place in July 2022.
