No problem! Are you a fine artist in Finland? I'm sure there are digital art exhibitions. I have a fine art degree but I haven't really exhibited anything since college. I am part of an exhibition scheduled for october though, so that's exciting. LOL

im just a hobbyist so im not sure if i would be comfortable having my art in an exhibition. its an interesting thing to think about for the future, though :0

Definitely! I believe with the quality of your work and with concept behind them, you could definitely do an exhibition some day if that were ever of interest to you. I notice that you have your art for sell on here. How does that work out for you? (just curious) I kind of left deviantart when this adoptables stuff started becoming more popular. I wonder why/ what do people do with the art they buy. Is it sort-of like a patronage to help the artist continue making more, or is it more like... people want the character for roleplay or something?

i believe many of those who buy adoptables simply like to collect characters they find interesting. some do use them to roleplay, and some people who enjoy writing buy the characters to create a backstory for them. (all this information has been gathered from stalking the userpages of random people, so it might be wrong)

its working out well for me since i love to create new characters! i understand why some people dont like adoptables, though; there are those artists who mass-create characters solely for the quick buck while putting little effort to the design. i hope you can ignore those so you dont have to leave again!

I guess people have a lot of different reasons to buy them haha. I wonder if I should start doing that sort of thing. I like to make characters too! I mostly do commissions through a virtual pet forum for people with pet sites, so this really isn't that far off. LOL
Also, thank you for taking the time to chat with me. It's so hard to find people who are willing to put in the time. It's much appreciated!

i definitely recommend trying out the whole adoptable/character design thing! and no problem at all, i dont tend to chat much here either but its nice every once in a while. id guess the more talkative folk gather in the forums, you might have better luck in there if youre interested in chatting.

Maybe I will... maaaybbbe I will... Since I already am making pets/drawings for sale on pet sites, I could also sell them here for DOUBLE EXPOSURE. LOL I'm the worst at marketing myself.

Hmm yeah, forums might be a good idea. I never actually got into using them here on DA in the past, so I should probably give it a try.
