Did you sew in a wire? I am really too stupid to make those kind of wings without putting 2 layers of felt together, but it always looks shitty at the end >.<

the wings are mainly glued to the wire.
In the pictures, a strip of material can be seen on the underside of the wing. He is also glued and additionally stitched.
